Technologies (Programming languages)

HTML/ DHTML: is a collection of technologies used together to create static and interactive web sites by using a combination of a HTML (static markup language), JavaScript/ VBScript (client-side scripting languages) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets - presentation definition language.

ASP: Active Server Pages (Classic ASP) are a server-side scripting technology primarily developed to work under IIS (Internet Information Server) on Windows NT Server. ASP enables the server to deliver dynamic, database driven content to the client with minimal effort. It can be embedded into HTML and generally runs on a web server. ASP is still available for application development but with the release of ASP.NET, it was introduced a new Object Oriented Programming Model which will ensure better performance and code maintenance.

ASP.NET: provides a programming model, and infrastructure, to make creating scalable, secure and stable applications faster, and easier than with previous Web technologies.

PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor, is a widely used, general-purpose scripting language that was designed for web development, to produce dynamic web pages and it can be embedded into HTML and generally runs on a web server and its an alternative to ASP.

Visual Basic: Visual Basic (VB) is the event-driven programming language and integrated development environment (IDE) with rich graphical development features.

VB.NET: Visual Basic .NET (VB.NET) is an object-oriented computer programming language that can be viewed as an evolution of Visual Basic (VB) which is implemented on the Microsoft .NET Framework.

Databases (RDBMS)

SQL Server: is a comprehensive database platform providing enterprise-class data management with integrated business intelligence (BI) tools. The SQL Server 2005 database engine provides more secure, reliable storage for both relational and structured data, enabling to build and manage highly available, high-performance data applications for use in business.

MS Access: allows to quickly build database-driven web pages.

MySQL: is a relational database management system (RDBMS). The program runs as a server providing multi-user access and as a backend for online applications.
